Water Planning Tools

Phase Three

Phase Three of the project expands upon the findings of the earlier phases through the trial of water planning tools in three nationally signficant water planning processes. The three pilot locations for the third phase are the Condamine groundwater plan in Queensland, the Murray River plan in South Australia and the Tiwi Island water resource plan in the Northern Territory. As with the second phase of the project, the trial of water planning tools will involve participants in action research to pilot and evaluate specific water planning tools to increase certainty and legitimacy of water planning processes nationally. Outputs will include national guidelines and guidance products for water planners and the pilot of a training program for collaborative water planning nationally.
