Phases One and Two of this project have been funded through the Tropical Rivers and Coastal Knowledge (TRaCK) Research Hub. TRaCK receives major funding for its research through the Australian Government’s Commonwealth Environment Research Facilities initiative; the Australian Government’s Raising National Water Standards Programme; Land and Water Australia and the Queensland Government’s Smart State Innovation Fund.
TRaCK brings together leading tropical river researchers and managers from Charles Darwin University, Griffith University, University of Western Australia, CSIRO, James Cook University, Australian National University, Geoscience Australia, Environmental Research Institute of the Supervising Scientist, Australian Institute of Marine Science, North Australia Indigenous Land and Sea Management Alliance, and the Governments of Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia.
More information about the TRaCK Research Program is available here.
Phase Three of this project has been funded by the Australian Government under the Raising National Water Standards programme, with Land and Water Australia contributing in-kind project management costs. The programme offers support for projects that are improving Australia’s national capacity to measure, monitor and manage our water resources across three strategic investment areas: advancing the implementation of the National Water Initiative; improving integrated water management across Australia; and improving knowledge and understanding of our water resources.
More information about the Raising National Water Standards programme is available here.
